1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using PreLoved UG, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. What PreLoved UG is
PreLoved UG is a platform that lets people advertise and discover products through individual listings and local shops in Uganda. We are not a party to any sale. We do not own, inspect, store, ship or guarantee any item, and we do not handle payments between buyers and sellers.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account. Contact us if you believe your account has been misused. One person may maintain one account.
4. Listings
You may list only items you own or have the right to sell. Every listing is reviewed before it goes live, and we may reject, edit or remove a listing at our discretion. Listings must have honest descriptions, real photos, accurate prices and accurate conditions.
You must not list:
- stolen, counterfeit or illegal goods;
- weapons, ammunition, drugs or controlled goods;
- dangerous items or items you are not legally allowed to sell in Uganda;
- adult content, hateful content, misleading content or fraudulent offers.
5. Buying and selling safely
Deals are between buyer and seller. We recommend meeting in a public place, inspecting an item before paying, paying in person and never sending money in advance to someone you have not met. PreLoved UG is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, delivery or availability of items, or for disputes between users.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the site to harass others, spam, scrape data, break or overload the service, impersonate anyone, or break the law. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of photos and text you post. By posting them, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and store them while needed to operate the service and keep listing history.
8. Fees
PreLoved UG is currently free to use. We will notify users before introducing listing, promotion or other platform fees.
9. Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent allowed by law, PreLoved UG is not liable for losses arising from transactions between users, items bought or sold, or downtime and errors. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Ugandan law.
10. Ending your account
You may stop using PreLoved UG and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these Terms or create a risk for users or the service.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. If you continue using PreLoved UG after the effective date of an update, you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, and Ugandan courts have jurisdiction over disputes.
